This version is the first version employing a changed versioning system. so version if it were following the old system, it would be version 1.47.
This is probably a milestone release with a rewritten project file format, Opera support, speed enhancements, working tweening, interactive tutorials, animation effects, reorganized menus, benchmark utility, about dialog, replaced wz_tooltips with Ext Qucktips (shaving ~30 kb), pixel fonts. The flash export has been improved, with faster results.
The visual effects include “Explode”, “Translate”, “Bak2Start”, “Brick Wall”, and “Random Rectangle” with the first 3 that are animation effects, and the latter two being just macros that make it easier to create complex shapes.
Copy and Paste support is much more subtle, so you don’t see any ugly alert messages when you accidentally press Ctrl+C. There is new backend for handling files such as images that is much faster and can automatically fall back to those hosts if it can’t load the files within a timeout.
