Granite Data Services 1.1.0 GA released with great new features

Hi all,

Granite Data Services 1.1.0 GA is out. You may download it, as usual, on Sourceforge: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=183386.

This release fixes all known issues reported since the last RC4. Compared with GraniteDS 1.0, the 1.1 release brings some very sexy(!?) new features:

  • Granite Eclipse Builder: this brand new Eclipse plugin runs automatically Gas3 (the GDS ActionScript3 code generator) whenever you create or modify a Java source file. Its behavior (and scope) is of course fully configurable via its graphical options panel under Eclipse.
  • Tide: Tide provides a complete Flex framework and data management functionalities such as entity caching, collection paging and lazy loading. It might be seen as a full alternative for the Cairngorm + Flex Data Management Service stack. In 1.1 the server integration is focused on JBoss Seam but future versions will include Spring and plain EJB3 support.
  • MXML Web Compiler: this compiler may be deployed in your servlet container and it will build on the fly your MXML and ActionScript3 source code.

A complete release note is available on GDS forum: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/graniteds/message/1952.

Regards, Franck.
