You need the exact path to your mxmlc.exe file. Find that and put it in the
config file.
Do the same with the flash 9 standalone player.
It should not need quotes.

Subject: [Brevity] Problems running alpha 1
I had some problems running Alpha 1, on Windows XP SP2, using the recently
released flex 2.
It appears to be some path handling issues.
I load Sample01.brv, and it converts fine, but when I try to compile to swf,
I get:
Running compiler...
'C:\Program' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
So I edited the .config file and put "'s around the paths (which had
spaces). Also I had to change the paths, as the final release of flex 2
installs to a different directory than the beta.
Now I get the error:
Running compiler...
'G:\davidr\brevity\Alpha' is not recognized as an internal or external
command,
operable program or batch file.
brevityide.exe is in the directory G:\davidr\brevity\Alpha 1.
So I rename the dir to alpha1, to remove the space
Now, I get:
Running compiler...
The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.
Hope this is enough info to let you fix the bug quickly! I just saw those
other examples on http://mybrevety.googlepages.com/experiments and I wanted
to start playing with it.
Thanks,
David R
