Hiya,
Yes, Christophe contacted me too - but I haven't heard from him for
a couple of days and would like to hear whether he's okay with things
before I take the plunge.

Tony,
I think the next phases are:

  1) Start to define the interfaces for the api (this is the critical thing)
  2) Build a proof-of-concept test-harness
  3) Start the packaging spec
  4) Start to define the reference LMS

Number 1 I can draft, but probably need input from people who know the
event/comms models of SCORM etc. to make sure that Edumatic supports
appropriate events and messaging to cope with those standards. I've
started a page on it:
http://www.edumatic.net/elm_api

Number 2 I can write things about now, but to be complete it needs
number 1 to be finished. :-)

Number 3 I can have a stab at - it only needs to really simple at the
moment. Longer term it needs input from people familiar with SCORM
etc. to make sure enough metadata gets included to support whatever
LMSs we plan to address. I've started a page on it:
http://www.edumatic.net/elm_specification

Number 4 anyone can write about; and I'd suggest it be someone who is
more familiar with the features of normal LMSs than I am. I've started
a page on it:
http://www.edumatic.net/edumatic_lms

But like I said - I'd really like to hear from Christophe. That's what
I've been waiting for.

I'd also like the wiki stuff to be finalised before we all spend lots
of time writing stuff on DokuWiki then have to convert it. :-)

Oh - and - I find the wiki very slow. I don't know if that's a server
issue, or just the nature of DokuWiki... if it's the server, I'll
worry a bit about whether Trac/SVN will also be slow...
