[Flasc] Problem with special characters in pathnames - any news?

Yeah, I played around with this quite a bit and never came up with a
solution that worked.
I tried using a diferent extension on the FLash IDE that wrote the batch
file in different formats, but nothing worked. UTF-8 is the format, but
mtasc always had a problem with it it seemed.
I asked on the mtasc list what people were doing for this issue and the ONLY
comment I got back was "I avoid special characters like the plague". My
feeling is that mtasc HAS to work with special characters, but the file
format throws it off somehow.
I dont know if youhave time, but if so, I'd love some help in diagnosiing
the issue ;)
