>Correct. But who uses IE Mac, when MS won't even support it anymore, while
Safari and Firefox thrive?

Of course the ironic response is the followup question, "What software
'does' Microsoft support?" If you have a problem installing Word or Excel or
IE Windows, what number do you call? I have half a dozen licences to MS
operating systems, but who do I have to call if I have a problem with any of
them? Dell. I've been a windows user since around 92 (when I patted my Amiga
on the head and put it in a closet) and I don't think I've ever spoken to a
MS support person on the phone And I'm not exceptionally lucky or anything,
I have had more than a couple of problems during that time.:D

Anyway this is the one thing that bothers me the most about the Ajax hype.
It seems to be like a mutant cousin in the attic. Lots of folk have problems
with it, but nobody seems to mention that IE Mac exists, they just say we
support any "modern" browser and leave it at that, apparently hoping that IE
Mac will just go away if we stop believieng that it exists. That's pretty
bad engineering.

Unfortunately, according to our weblogs we still get about 35% of our hits
from IE Mac. These are from mostly American schools ranging from grades 2nd
to 9th.

Thank you for confirming that though. I was thinking that maybe I was
halucinating or somthing.
