If you only need a lightweight tool that does traces and no advanced filtering like luminicbox then I like to recommend the external output console I've wrote, Alcon. It has a executable and swf version included and many things can be configured (but don't have to) ...

Subject: [osflash] MTASC + viewer
Hi
I have recently changed the way I do things and descided to use the SEPY + MTASC to compile my flash stuff. MTASC is great compile way faster then flash however I am hiting a big problem which I am sure can be resolved by one of those great open source out there. But I am not too sure which one i should use...
When using the flash ide you can trace things which helps debugging whatever you making so I was wondering do i need to use to get the same sort of output?
I heard of flashout but is it only to use with eclipse or will it work in my case and also will it outoput trace's?
thanks in advance
seb
