I thought I would take a second or so to share with the community some of the
tools I use for open source Flash development. I thought that it might be a
nice thread for people to share3 with new members and old how they put all
these great tools together.
Tools:
MTASC -- Compiling actionscript
Eclipse -- IDE
ASDT -- Actionscript plugin for Eclipse
NOT OPEN SOURCE --> Flashout -- viewing SWFs in Eclipse
SWFmill -- Importing SWF, PNG, JPG into Library for attaching
Cinelerra -- video editting
Gimp -- Photo Editing
Blender -- 3D, video
transcode -- for multiplexing of MPGs
mencoder -- to convert MPGs to AVIs
avi2swf -- converts AVIs to SWF video
wav2swf -- converts WAV files to SWF sound
jpeg2swf -- converts JPGs into SWF
gif2swf -- converts GIF into SWF
vncrec and vnc2swf -- Screen capture that can be imported into movie
swfc -- I will use this to create slide shows that I import into MTASC
inkscape -- vector drawing for logos and stuff
audacity -- all sound editing
potrace -- bitmap tracing to vector
And I am finding new tools every day!
Does anyone else have any great tools to add or any unique ways to accomplish
these things?
Thanks
