[osflash] Flex2 SDK - produce non-v8.5 swfs?

Is this compiling with mtasc possible from within Flex builder? What i
mean is, could we get AS2 editing from within Flex builder?

If you want to compile for flash 6/7/8, you can use mtasc. If you want
to compile for 6/7/8/8.5(aka 9), you could port your code to haXe.
Otherwise, you could have 2 versions of your movie (one for 6/7/8, and
one for 8.5 (aka 9)), and use JS to load the appropriate one.

			That'd be kinda harsh - wouldn't it? I
understand the need to offer
			new functionality and have it only work in the
new player, but what

release the old
			framework.swc stuff and have a switch on the
compiler to get an older

			I guess I'm kinda concerned about Linux
support... the player seems to
			take forever to come out for Linux compared to
the other platforms.

the Linux 8.5/9 flash
