The speed always goes has to be a problem at the time of developing a great application and those were the same reasons for which we thought about C++, although it is not possible to be doubted that if is developed in Java the time of development is going to be much smaller, in any case thanks and if we are thinking it as a subject for a thesis although always we have thought about the product within the frame of free software
Thanks.

Hi! It must not be developed in Java! Java2d isn't fast enough to develop a flash clone. In my opinion C++ with QT4 is the best option. And multiplatform.
Is that a thesis project or a personal intiative? Because it´s a BIG project.
good luck!

Greetings community:
I am a student of software engineering and along with one of my
friends we have thought a project to develop an IDE that allows us to do
swf in Linux with graphical enviroment but we have a great dilemma and
is the language that we will use for he himself because he is expert in
java and I in C++ so I would like to request his opinion to him on as
serious the best variant, because I have understood that many of the
programs of Adobe are developed on C++ but many of which I have
found in the site of osflash are on java.
Thanks.
