PHP is very easy to scale, and from a scalability perspective its not
likely migrating to Java will make a difference.. I did find that AMFPHP
on high traffic sites will hit your memory and CPU.. Its not that bad
for small messages, but if the data you are sending with amfphp is
getting bigger the hit on cpu becomes exponentially bigger.
Because of this, our applications became a lot less responsive and we
had to go look for different options.
