Both are projects which are run by my company. Although I'm the main guy
working on it, several people are helping with some specific parts of
the development, and other people of the community have already
contributed patches and libraries. Plus, it's open source so you can
start helping any day if you feel like...

Yes. A month and half to be exact. But haXe is based on both MTASC and
MotionTypes which are two mature compilers. We're using haXe and Neko in
production now and it works well. I understand that it might seem a bit
fast but anyway the best way is to give it a try to get convinced ;)

It depends which functionalities you need. As for Neko, the following
libraries are already available : mysql, regexp, zlib, sqlite, sockets,
file system, io, serialization, md5, maths, random, utf8 and xml. Some
people of the haXe/Neko communities have been working on image
manipulation library, opengl, postgresql and some other libraries as well.
Do you need anything specific that is not listed there ?

I'm pretty sure most of the people here already know that I'm the author
of MTASC and haXe, so I'll forgive myself on this point. Of course I'm a
bit enthousiast when I'm talking about haXe but it doesn't mean that I'm
losing my objectiveness. I have great interest and good experience with
other technologies as well so I'm always trying to comeup with fair
points. Of course I can sometimes make mistakes.
OTOH, when you say "PHP is for me the language for the web", this is
somehow lacking objectiveness... and this is normal since every have its
own personal opinion.

I'm not selling anything there, do I ? Or at least I don't remember
sending any invoice about haXe usage.
