We are expecting to have a release candidate ready on Monday for
people to test. Then the plan is to have the final 0.5 release go out
the following week.

I hope that helps. Sorry that we can't be too exact on these releases.
They are always estimates as all of us are doing the project on our
free time.

Another thing you can do in the meantime, is build from the source in
the trunk. It might not always be stable, but it will have the latest
changes.
