Hey Jack, I just posted an updated FLVPlayer built in AS3/Flex2 for use with
Red5. The source and swf are included in the zip you can find here:

I know you're not a flash dev, but maybe this would help anyone else thats
able to jump on board to help you out. Let me know if you have anyway
questions!
