No, but an AS3 version is in the works.

Yes, you can load the compiled deng.swf into your AS2/Flash8 application 
without problem. For a simple example on how to do that please download 
the binary distribution of DENG and take a look at 
/mtasc/dengcontainer.as (this is for MTASC but things should work 
similarly in Flash 8).
