I completely agree. I don't think anyone is being defensive here. I
know that I'm just interested and trying to find out more about
RIAForge. Which, is normal since I only heard about it for the first
time when it was announced publicly.

Of course not. However, I would expect to Adobe to be open about the
fact they have created this web site instead of trying to pass it off
as a community effort. It appears that there is a lack of
transparency here that other people have commented on.

LOL! Yes, I can confirm that OSFlash definitely doesn't make a profit
(or revenue for that matter.) :) I completely agree, however, that
being "open" is very important. That includes things like project
acceptance criteria and ownership.
