Evert and Chris, it looked to me that somewhere before you were
"fighting" to see which one was the best osflasher, using the
contributed projects as a comparison term. I still haven't made any
project contribution to the OsFlash community, so may I have the
privilege to enter your discussion? :|.... C'mon, leave those kind of
things out of the list, they are not objective, and i do not see how
they help everyone here.
I also do not see how the current discussion is helping OSFlash.
Sometimes it seems to me more a political and moral discussion than an
objective discussion, like we, engineers and programmers should do. It's
normal that different guys on the same community have different ideals,
but it's important to have diplomacy and objectiveness to solve problems.
Personally i would prefer to have only one platform about Open Source
Flash tools. But I've been thinking about it, and something occurred to
me. We have with OsFlash something bigger than Flash itself: we have a
Community. We help each other. We may never have seen each other (at
least, i didn't :P), but we all share our knowledge around one subject,
around our passion. And that's what defines OsFlash! (I think I'm going
to cry right now... :P).
It looks to me that RIAForge, for now, is just a repository. Let's keep
who we are and cooperate with RIAForge, expecting that Adobe will
someday return our cooperation anyhow (and i know they will)...
Peace!
(I will try to sleep now. I am having trouble sleeping, knowing that
there is a conspiracy out there... :o) )
