In such cases (especially if the poster lives in the US), assume EST
to mean "New York, on the given date", do your own calculations, and
ignore the rest.
There simply is no EST (UTC-5) in North America in Summer. It's EDT
("Eastern Daylight Time"), or UTC-4. So, London (in Summer) is UTC+1,
five hours later than in New York. That means the UTC time is actually
correct, and EDT is mislabeled as EST.
Assuming that the event will begin at the time when the average person
in New York will give you the time as "11am", it would be 16:00 in
London, 17:00 in Berlin/Paris/Rome, 18:00 in Istanbul and 19:00 in
Moscow.
Please, somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
Mark
