oh, thats not good. sorry about that.

To what extent does it not work on the Mac?

The syntax checking you had (with the red error markers) is driven my MTASC, 
which is now bundled with ASDT so it should just work. I guess this could be 
related to the path issue you have outlined. I'll check that on my linux machine 
this week.
