Hello everybody,
for my first post on this list, I'd like to introduce myself.
I work for a german company as a software developer. We are doing many
business integration projects using java application servers.
In a current project we try to load test a web application consisting of
an HTML-website and a streaming video application. The streaming video is
hosted on a Adobe Flash Media Server.
For the load tests we use Apache JMeter. This works very well for the HTML
part. While looking for a way to include the streaming video into the load
tests we came across the RTMPClient implementation of the red5 project.
Our plan is to develop a JMeter plugin to load test a streaming server
based on the org.red5.server.net.rtmp.RTMPClient class.
While searching in the mailing list archive I found an old post, saying
that streming is not fully implemented in that class yet. Is this still
right?
We can connect to the streaming server using RTMPClient and issue the
"createStream" command. But when we issue the "play" command nothing
happens any more. If there is still work to be done on the RTMPClient,
could anybody direct us into the right direction, to have it done?
Mit freundlichen Grüßen
Frank Hauptmann
