I got nothing against haXe by itself, I just don't care about it

because compared to ES4, whatever features you add,
whatever improvement you make
sorry but I do think it just can not compete with ES4

I don't say that ES4 (or even AS3) is perfect,
but this spec got a huge potential that can be resumed in one phrase:
the power of numbers

Java or C# are strong language because they have numbers of developpers

in few years in the futur I perfectly see ES4 and its different implementation
having the same power of numbers

AS3 coders can use a part of it right now, and it will get even better
at AS4 times
I think other communities more based on the browser will gladly
welcome something as JS2

and with times we will find ourselves with the same spec implemented in
different environments, running on almost the same VM (Tamarin) and
those different communities (AS dev, Ajax dev, etc.) will be able
to unite behind that spec and share their codes and findings

that's why I think a spec, this ES4 spec is so important

but nothing new here Nicolas as we already had this conversation,
you think you can reach ubiquity trough the compiler
(1 language for 1 compiler to many environments/hosts)
I think on the over end that ubiquity can be reach by the
specification of the language
(1 language spec to many compilers and environments)
