http://www.magentocommerce.com/ - with AS3 and reading in the HTML
produced for each page. They have been developing a webservices API for
The beauty of this system is that you could always just read in the
(X)HTML produced from page requests and parse that with the AS3 / E4X
stuff easily. This would mean you could sit Flash on top of your store
and Google could crawl the HTML version, whilst you present a fancy one...
At a glance, the code looks pretty nice for this system - much nicer
than OSCommerce - it outputs valid XHTML and there is a good community
As for PayPal - depends what system you want to use, but I have done
integrations with this a couple of times and it is an appalling system
to try and work with - the documentation is rubbish so you have to spend
ages searching through forums to get past every little problem. If you
go via the redirection / callback route rather than the back-end
