[osflash] Teaching kids animation

[Hed Bar-Nissan]

I teach some hours at a local elementry school, and what gets the kids going
is animation.
The most popular is the very basic Pivot -
http://groups.msn.com/Pivotanimation

I wish to have them do animation in flash and they want to as well.
But we do not have the money to purchase Adobe licences.

Is their an animation alternative for me in OS world?
Focusing on simple timeline 2D animation.
