Subject: [osflash] Alt IP address (VPN suggestions)?
Hello friends,
Sorry for the off-topic, cross-post. (Infidel!). But, I know these lists have smart people that actually answer questions, as opposed to most general purpose lists. If anybody has a problem with the topic, I can take discussion off-list. However, I am primarily interested in OS solutions. :)
I am no network admin, but my goal is to accomplish this feat (emphasis mine):
A VPN allows computer users to access a network via an IP address other than the one that actually connects their computer to the Internet. (wikipedia)
Basically, my employer only allows admin login from approved IP's (my house), and I'd like to be able to access my home network / home IP to do so, when working remotely. Any simple VPN suggestions to accomplish this (Mac OS X client - could use other for server - Linksys router)?
Thank you, I'll take your answer(s), off the air.
