Pete? Not this Pete :)
I'm still having a hernia with ASE and will prob spend the rest of today mucking around with ASE...although I would love to muck around with DAE and MD2 I haven't even touched those yet in papervision...
STILL STUCK IN BROKEN ASE LAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
Also doesn't help seeing everyone put down ASE as inferior!!!!
When I make Alan Wake with ASE and papervision3d you will all mark my words!!!!

no problem Sebastian... my googlemail is a little slow sometimes, too... and i understand how frustrating it is when you want to know what's going on and th message won't even get to the list! aaaaaarggghhhh!
I'm suprised Pete hasn't checked this out actually, as he found some interesting little quirks with the Collada format (seperators, mainly, i think) recently. Anyway, the Collada parser is still in its infancy at the moment and Carlos is doing his best to make sure it parses all implementations of the spec correctly. PV3D itself is still only a couple of months old (in RC format, anyway) - but if it's not rendering in another viewer that's specifically for Collada then it sounds like something more fundamental - so you may have to do some research on this yourself.... not being a modeller i can't help i'm afraid....
but welcome to the list and i hope you get it sorted out....

Sorry Trevor,
Sorry maillinglist,
it wasn't supposed to be like that! I had some probs with
my googlemail account, and I wasn't sure if my mail has
been send or not. And I know that firing a mailinglist with
the same mail is not a hand shaking task but, really, ...
I was in doubt about it!
Hope, you still like my first post written in this maillinglist
and I'm looking forward to get some mind extending inspirations.
Once again, sorry!

there's no need to keep bumping the thread, if someone knows they'll reply... the members of this list are scattered around the world and come online at different times... or may not have got through the whole day's messages yet... be patient and if the knowledge is there it will find it's way to you...

Hi,
Does anyone know how to include the nice looking house
of the KML-tutorial of Google Earth, see page:
http://earth.google.com/kml/kml_21tutorial.html
into Papervision3D? So far, we couldn't run the DAE-files in
Papervision3D and in a free Collada-Viewer called "CollView":
http://www.pinecoast.com/collview.htm
The KMZ-File, which is nothing but a compressed ZIP-file
holding the (House)DAE-file, can be downloaded here:
http://code.google.com/apis/kml/documentation/MackyBldg.kmz
What does it take to make it run? Maybe, if that should be necessary,
we can write a XSLT-file for transforming Google Earth to Papervision3D!!!
regards,
masu
