A'right,

A little update in all this... I've been researching a little bit in
making the materials a little bit less fake. The only thing that was
fake on the original materials was the reflection which was a texture
being offseted per frame on top of the static texture. It may work for
a box, a cylinder, an sphere... but not with complex objects...

So, I started doing some tests to achieve environment mapping so I
could get "real" reflections...

Try 1:

Try 2:

Try 3:

Right, so, seems like I have (more or less) kind-of-flat environment
mapping. I'll work tomorrow afternoon on making it less flat.

The bad news is that I had to modify slightly Papervision3D's code.
So, who knows? Maybe, as soon as I finish this, I'll release
Paperdoob3D!!

Hehe, probably not...
