Hi everyone,
I am a complete noob to papervision and am finding it hard to get into
it as my programming skills
aren't the best. I used to use Director's 3D engine using Lingo so I
understand the principle of
3D stuff but I am not having much luck in Flash. I did manage to
complete Peter Elst's tutorial
on John Grden's new Papervision component:
http://www.peterelst.com/blog/2007/07/07/papervision3d-in-5-minutes/#mor
e-363
and I can use the collada scene and import my own dae from max and put a
material on it as
Peter's explanation made it all so simple and the component was easy to
use.
I wondered if anyone could reply with any very simple scripts that show
how to just set up a
Papervision scene and put in a sphere and a plane and some examples of
simple transforms.
I have got the link to the API documentation
http://www.papervision3d.org/docs/as3/
but I look at it and my head just explodes T_T it would be great to have
some examples of
simple code in action. I have seen quite a few tutorials around but they
are well complicated.
I think if I have a simple starting place I might be able to get my head
around how it works
and then I can really get started. I would really like to use
Papervision in my work projects
as it looks ace :D
Thanks,
Gary E.
