You're not missing anything, like Andy says... it's big and unreliable

this is a good example of where recreating reality is NOT what's
needed. most people who enjoy shopping enjoy it becuase they're going
out to hunt around in shops - it's a social activity as much as a
consuming one... it's not the same on a computer screen... And the
rest of us have our favourite shopping sites anyway...

personally i think it's just a bad move all round.

But it is a good example of where using Flash - making things
inherently cross-platform to some extent - is a real bonus in
development
