I think one of the coolest things for people in Flash right now with Swift
is that one feature to import 3DS files - you now can go purchase models
from other people, purchase Swift3D and get a collada file out of it. Right
now, you either have to know someone with 3D Studio Max or find a cracked
version or pay $3000+ just to get a collada version.
Also, I should mention, the DAE export that Swift is creating only contains
the information necessary to work with papervision3d's Collada object and
soon will support ASCollada's DAE object. What I'm hoping to see is that we
can do animations in Swift3D and bring them right in to Papervision using
DAE object (that supports animation) and have it working right in flash.
