actually, using vague object references is slower, and not advanced and
creates a very vague API that nobody could be sure about what to send other
than knowing it by heart or reading the docs (IE: code hinting in a good
code editor would be lost).  That's very as2 and not strictly typed.

I doubt the away guys are using that technique on much of their stuff.
Carlos  had it in there on the as2 engine, and I've been stripping out old
remains as much as I can when I find them :)

I don't know if Away is doing that on anything, but I kinda doubt it.
