[Papervision3D] Collada loading

Anyone familiar with Portal will recognize the beloved Weighted Companion
Cube, as rendered by Papervision:

The only problem is the 20 seconds it takes ascollada to actually *load* the
thing. Firefox freezes up entirely until Flash has finished parsing it. The
amount of time itself isn't the problem really (I can probably cut down on
vertices), it's the freezing. I can't put this into a website, it'll render
any page unusable I put it on. Is this just my crappy computer? Is anyone
looking into making the loading a bit more graceful?
