The collision detection is indeed done in 2D. It's the wall sliding that
uses the slope of the walls (still in 2D) to calculate the next position,
and that's when the conflict sometimes arises. There are some potential
fixes that I'm thinking of, but right now I just need the time to implement
it :)
As for Marcus, the menu movement you're looking for is actually implemented
quite easily. You just need to set the Camera's target to the Plane, and
determine the position of the camera according to the mouse pointer's
position, by rotating it around its target.
