[Papervision3D] Finding local mouse x,y for a 3d object

Hi,
The only way i could see to get it to work was something like that.
I'm working with a 3D line and so added a dummy sphere at the start and end and put a mouse enabled sphere tracking the play head.
then with the screen positions i can work out the difference to the 3Dline length (in 3D space) and it's relative screen position, all a bit of a faf really, but it works.
Maybe a movieclip material would have been a better solution, but that's a bit of a black art as well. Does anyone know of a good tutorial on addressing and interacting with a movieclip material.
