[Papervision3D] renderLayers usefull only for sorting ??? how to render only one layer ?

There isn’t a way to render per renderlayer – to do layers like that you
will probably need to use multiple viewports and render each at a time. The
other option would be to create filters to select which objects you want
rendered – but that would take some work.

Hello,

I don't have time to experiment yet, but i'm interested by renderLayers.
I have read some tutorials about it, and looked into sources, but i didn"t
found my answer.

Is there a way to render only one layer at one time ?
I think that no, but i'm not sure.

This could be usefull to increase render time.
For example : when the camera and all the objects in a layer don't move we
don't need to update the render. It could be cached.
Maybe i'm wrong. yes ? no ?
