an easy way:

tween a solid movie with a transparent movie background both inside
a moviematerial

a hard way:

The vertex on a plane can be calculated at creation time for two
values and can then be tweened between, the standard plane is not
very flexible there is a HeightMap class that might be modifiable for
instance effects like this can be achieved.
