This post came at a perfect time! I am currently working in the same problem. I think for a steaming .flv files you have on your web server VideoMovieMaterial is your tool of choice. There is alot of examples out there of using that but as Paul mentioned you will have to implement your own controls.

My issue is I want to load Youtube video's onto the plane with controls and all. I have the Youtube video loading into a MovieClip no problem. After adding it to my MoveClipMaterial I see the video and plane for a second and then it disappears. I am thinking that because it is animated we may need to be calling updateBitmap() on each frame? But I briefly tried this yesterday with no results. Are you seeing the video content briefly?

Thanks.

Nick Selvaggio
nickgs1@gmail.com
www.nickgs.com
(631) 872-1367
Hi There,

I am trying to stream video into a plane, is this a simple process? I am using MovieMaterial with the video streamed into a container movie clip.

All the streaming works, there are no coding errors, when the script is executed the video seems active with the sound coming through, but no video image? It doesn't seem to be adding the plane, when i set the transparency to false to see the plane on screen, nothing. Again no errors generated
