Well Patrick

  1. If the client needs clean bandwidth and a fast Dell server we can help. We have a number of dedicated clients that us different kind of multi user server technologies.

Right now we are doing a special for lots of bandwidth, dell, scii RAID and the drives are hot swapable for better relability. A fully unmanaged server. Soyou have full control via Termainal Services. Install what every you want.

Email me directly and we can work help out for the project as we do for many of our clients.

  2. Also I hope the Red 5 can be done in the time you need. We have offed a public test server for that already but think it may not be ready for that untill close to Version 1.

Sooo (just an idea) have you though about maybe an older but very solid multi user technology like shockwave multi user server. I think you can get about 2000 connections for a minimum costs.

That is what we use for some of our games. The one we are always adding to is called http://www.chamberofchat.com. It has a full administrative section as well.

I have a client here that is interested in deploying an application
which would require several FlashCom licenses. The proposed setup would
be quite costly for the benefit of using FlashCom (the multiple FlashCom
licenses would be required simply to supply low latency access in
different parts of the world, never reaching anywhere near the
bandwidth/user limits). I talked to him about the red5 project and said
he would be interested in funding the project (roughly the equivalent of
one or two FlashCom licenses). Now the money would probably not flow in
(if it does at all) until this spring, but nevertheless I thought I'd
ask what you guys thought about it, how it might be used, etc. I mean,
with 10k$ that gives us a Java developer for a good 3-4 months (at least
in Canada). I know Luke and John are busy, busy people, maybe a paid
programmer would help the project... Just thinking out loud here.
