[Red5] Linux/Webcam newbie question

nope, i just have too many spare webcams, and wanted to do something 
useful with them. it is not for outdoor or for real antitheft use (4 bnc 
cameras and a dvr board are cheaper than 3 webcams you know). it is just 
for fun. i was thinking maybe adding a targeting system and some kind of 
projectile thrower will eventually help me read of the cats (it's mating 
season, some people might understand my feelings).

so, any hints ?
