Hi Lenny ;

I finally managed to install Java 1.6;

I was troubled at the beginning because i went trying using
jdk-6u10-ea-bin-b08-linux-i586-30_nov_2007.bin
instead of jdk-6u3-linux-i586-rpm.bin

and for the jpackage to rebuild, i had to find the correct corresponding
package : java-1.6.0-sun-compat-1.6.0.03-1jpp.src.rpm for java 1.6
instead of java-1.5.0-sun-1.5.0.06-1jpp.nosrc.rpm (for Java 1.5)

The rest went fine, thanks to Patrick Gutlich's how-to ;

I have now  :

java version "1.6.0_03"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_03-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0_03-b05, mixed mode, sharing)

with apache Ant 1.7.0 and Red5 0.6.3 running from /opt/

Correct me if i am wrong but i should now install
tomcat, then link apache and tomcat with the mod_jk connector module?

I have another question concerning Red5 as it is now installed ;
Should i change anything in its configuration because i don't see the Red5 start
page at port 5080.. , even do Red5 builded and is running with no complaints ..

Here is for the news :)

Thanks again for your fabulous help ;
