[Red5] Netstream mic() capture on all platforms

I have a red5 code that allows someone to speak into a mic over a flash
capture, the Netstream records it into red5 for processing (for sound
software).

The problem is that it only seems to work on PCs and not Macs (they don't
record a stream when the person tries to record)..... could this ever an
issue ... is Flash input handled differently on the 2 platforms?

Or could this symptom be from a firewall issue?

Any pointers from people may help.
