[Red5] Re moteApp Example - (Mac OSX)Connection refused problem!

Hello,
I am trying to run the sample RemoteApp (from
https://svn1.cvsdude.com/osflash/red5/java/example/trunk).

Iam using Mac OSX and hence Java5 is out of question. I downloaded the file,
built the the necessary jars (red5.jar and red5-remoting jar) and deployed
the app in my tomcat (5.x). 

My tomcat is listening on port 9080.

When I ran the app -  for the rtmp url, rtmp://localhost:9080/RemoteApp 
nothing hapens.

for the http, - http://localhost:9080/RemoteApp/gateway - the catalina
server is throwing :
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused exception.

Any ideas. Any help will be appreciated. I have been messing with this for a
month now !
