[Red5] Progressive Download of a Webcam Stream recorded via Red5

Hello, I'm using red5 to record short videos (webcam capture via rtmp)
and then stream them from a web server via http (progressive download).

I use flvtool2 to process them (adding metadata so the duration reports
correctly on the flash video player) before making them available for
http streaming.

Unfortunately there are few problems, the audio goes away sometimes and
first 2-3 seconds of the video are not played correctly (some parts of
the screen are gray).

I tried to convert the video to other codecs (and the audio to mp3lame,
using ffmpeg from svn), but it still doesn't work.

Can someone point me out the whole process I have to execute after the
recording and before making videos available for http streaming???
