[Red5] Sequence of FLV clips into a single FLV file

Is it possible to have the server take a sequence of clips or parts of 
recorded streams and assemble them into a new recorded stream on the 
fly?  What I have is a offline editor that can set in/out points within 
a video.  I can currently send those points to the server and have it 
playback the sequence, but I can't seek to specific points within the 
sequence.  So I'm thinking if I have the server pre-record the sequence 
I can seek.  Two problems I've found trying to do this, I don't know how 
to record a prerecorded stream originating on the same server into a new 
stream, and how do I do it as fast as possible and not in "realtime"?
