I know that this has been brought up in the mailing list before, but
OpenFMS/Mammoth actually has made some significant progress since the last
update. They've implemented RTMPE, RTMPTE, *face and **speech recognition*,
multiple edges and origins in clustering, FME support... and quite a few
other things. I don't know if RTMPE is in the works for Red5 or not, but it
couldn't hurt to look at their (open-source) implementation for ideas. It is
obvious of course that C != Java, but what is being done there can clearly
be done in Red5.
You can view their site at: http://openfms.net/

PS: What would it take to get multiple origin support working in Red5? Last
time I checked, it was multiple-edge, single-origin only? How could I help?
