Hi All,
Apologies if this isn't the right place to ask about this.
I just installed Red5 0.7.0 on FreeBSD 7.0 using the port at
/usr/ports/www/red5. It all seemed to go well. Tomcat was installed and the
red5.war file was placed in /usr/local/apache-tomcat6.0/webapps folder. When I
navigate a browser to http://192.168.1.161:8180/red5 I get the Red5 welcome
page with a list of demos to try.
Unfortunately none of the demos seem to work. The one I am most concerned
about is the Port Tester demo because the RTMP 1935 connection just hangs with
the message "Connecting...". All other immediately revert to "FAILED". I have
added rtmp 1935 to /etc/services as both tcp and udp, and I can see the remote
machine (192.168.1.199) connecting to the red5 box (192.168.1.161) via
'netstat -n'. It seems like the red5 server is not answering packets via RTMP.
I'm not sure where to go from here, as my java skills are very lacking. If
anyone successfully using red5 on FreeBSD via RTMP could make any
recommendations it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Alex
