[Red5] And how about the little problems?

Yes there is a flurry of concern over the potential Adobe bludgeon and that
may be preoccupying ...
In the meantime I can't get my app that has been running happily for a long
time on Windows and Debian to happen on Ubuntu with the new 0.7.0 release.
I used the Debian package and have installed Red5 OK on Ubuntu - oflaDemo
works fine. The sample apps doing logging are generating log files in the
red5/log directory. My app has been converted to use the new simplified
logging but I don't see any log file written.
How do I check out what is going on?
What happened to the old red5.log file?
How is the logback.xml file in red5/conf meant to kick in?
Regards,
David Schulberg
