[Red5] RemoteApp example not working on tomcat6 + java5 + winxp

played around every which way and read every tutorial I could find, however
context for RemoteApp will not register. I have tried many permutations!  I
have read the Red5 WAR.pdf document many times.

what I want, is

-- webapps/ROOT to contain red5 server instance
-- webapps/RemoteApp to contain custom application + persistence + streams
directories

Am I understanding correctly that the RemoteApp example demonstrates exactly
the scenario?

Can someone confirm that this is possible with tomcat6 + java5, and if not
under which combination?
