Which bring us to the next improvement, the RTMFP protocol. RTMFP,
which stands for Real Time Media Flow Protocol, and is an RTMP-over-
UDP, peer-to-peer communications protocol. This will be available for
use with future releases of Flash Media Server or other Adobe server
products. More information on the RTMFP protocol can be found in this
RTMFP FAQ (PDF).

This will come in handy when building applications using the
anticipated "CoCoMo" SDK (currently in private beta) which will be a
Flash-based web services platform for development of real-time
collaboration and social media, to be used in conjunction with
theAcrobat.com Document Services APIs, which is built upon the next
generation of Adobe Acrobat Connect currently available in beta as
Adobe ConnectNow (formerly "BRIO").

RTMFP will also be really useful in "Pacifica," which will be a
product similar to "CoCoMo", allowing for high quality VOIP in Flash
and AIR but without depending on the ConnectNow infrastructure.
Pacifica will likely compete with existing VOIP-for-Flash technologies
such as the Ribbit platform.

So cocomo is a SDK for adobe acrobat connect services. Pacifica will
be an SDK independant from these services to build VOIP / P2P
applications. This one may be of interest to Paul ;)
