You need to install a driver or application that will make your DV register
to the system as a webcam.
For example http://www.hmelyoff.com/index.php?section=22
"VH Capture supports many types of capture hardware. For example: TV Tuners,
Webcams, DV-recorders, Video capture cards, screen capture (through
VHScrCap), etc. ......."
There are more 'webcam emulators', go ahead try some until you find one that
you like.
