We have a catalog of 27 DVDs which total around 62 hours and are exploring
the possibility of selling them as online viewable purchases in addition to
the tangible form. I've done a lot of work with videos and encoding, but
never anything with streaming. Whenever a project comes up, I always look
to the open source world to see what it has to offer before going to a
commercial product. As I understand so far, I'll need a dedicated physical
server, along with some software to handle the flash video streaming. This
software can either be Adobe Flash Media Server, Wowza, or Red5. Am I
correct so far? Would you recommend Red5 for this type of project? What
should be my next steps? Thanks for any info you may be able to offer..
